High-frequency welding: what is it and why do we use it?

Unlike traditional welding that relies on direct heat, high-frequency welding uses electromagnetic energy to generate heat within the thermoplastic material itself. Pressure is then applied to fuse the materials together.

So, why is it particularly useful for flexible technical textiles?

The process allows us to create clean, durable and highly controlled seams without adhesives or stitching. This makes it well suited to products where strength, flexibility and reliable sealing are essential – from lorry tension curtains and pillow tanks, to flood defence systems and proof test bags!

Great to work on another stunning project for Wessex Packaging 🚛 🌟

A few months after supplying and printing a new lorry tension curtain for the Wessex Packaging fleet, we’re pleased to have worked with the team once again on this new project.

Their bold yellow branding makes for a striking design, giving the latest curtain the same bright and recognisable look as their existing vehicles.

It’s always great to see customers return for another project, and we’re looking forward to seeing this one out on the road!

For National Manufacturing Day, we’re giving you a sneak peek inside our dedicated 50,000 sq. ft. factory in Cromer.

This is where flexible technical textiles are transformed into specialist thermoplastic products like lorry tension curtains, bulk packaging bags, proof test bags and flood defence systems.

But our manufacturing capabilities look very different compared to when we first began manufacturing in 1970…

Over more than five decades, we’ve continued to invest in new technology, machinery and processes, expanding what we can manufacture and the applications we can support.

Today, that includes high-frequency welding, advanced digital printing and specialist fabrication, all under one roof!

56 years on, manufacturing continues to be at the heart of everything we do – which is why we’re proud to celebrate National Manufacturing Day today!

Another motorhome, another wrap! 🚐

We recently gave this motorhome a fresh new look, including adding a teal detail to create a subtle pop of colour between the grey and white sections.

The finished design creates a clean and modern look – and it’s great to see another successful wrap project completed by the team!

Sandbags have always been the obvious choice for flood protection.

But when they take so much time, effort and manpower to deploy, shouldn’t we have a better alternative by now?

That’s a ‘wrap’ on another vehicle wrap project 🚐

Our customer wanted to replicate the graphics from their motorhome onto their box trailer to create a coherent look across both vehicles.

So, we recreated the design from scratch, carefully matching the colours and overall finish of the original motorhome.

Now, the two separate vehicles complement each other perfectly, with the same design carried seamlessly across both.
