🩸 World Blood Donor Day - June 14, 2026 🏥 National Blood Week
Every unit of donated blood represents a decision, someone chose to show up for a stranger.

This World Blood Donor Day, the NHS is marking a milestone: 1.3 million units of blood donated across England since last year's campaign. That blood supported patients through surgery, cancer treatment, and emergency care. A remarkable achievement.

But demand is constan,and right now, three blood types are critically needed:

🔴 O negative
The universal blood type. Safe to give to any patient in an emergency before blood typing is possible. Used so widely that stocks are always under pressure.

🔵 B negative
Held by only ~2% of the population. A small donor pool means shortages develop quickly and hit hard.

🟠 Ro subtype
Vital for sickle cell patients, many of whom require regular transfusions throughout their lives. Ro blood is significantly more common in people of Black heritage, which is why increasing donor diversity is not just a goal, it is a clinical necessity.

If you are of Black heritage and have never donated blood, your blood type may be exactly what a patient needs right now.

→ Encourage colleagues, friends, and communities to get blood typed at NHS events this week

We are pleased to share that Henderson Biomedical has successfully completed its latest United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) assessment for our ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory accreditation, with no major findings.

This outcome reflects the continued professionalism, discipline, and commitment to quality demonstrated across the entire team.

We would like to sincerely thank all staff who contributed to the preparation and ex*****on of this assessment. Your effort, attention to detail, and consistency are what make results like this possible.

As yesterday was International day of plant Day Health 🌍

We are taking this opportunity to talk about another one of our core values: being environmentally friendly.

Every plant matters at Henderson Biomedical.

We do not just enjoy having plants around the office, we care about the plants beyond our walls too.

That is why being environmentally friendly is one of our core values. We make a continuous effort to be mindful of the amount of paper we use, both internally and externally. In fact, all of our transactions with clients and suppliers are handled digitally to help reduce unnecessary waste.

It may seem like a small step, but small actions add up.

International Day of Plant Health reminds us that protecting plant life means protecting the future of our planet.

Because when plants are healthy, the world is healthier too. 🌿
