We've been busy spreading Scottish World Cup fever across Dumfries & Galloway! 💙

It was fantastic to visit Dalbeattie High School Primary & Nursery, Colvend Primary School and Kirkgunzeon Primary School, where we handed out over 600 each of our famous See You Jimmy hats and InstaKilts to pupils, helping them get behind Scotland in style!

A huge thank you to all our local businesses, stockists and friends who joined in and helped spread the pride, passion and Scottish spirit throughout the region. Your support has been incredible!

Not every week is about finished projects leaving the workshop.

Sometimes it’s about testing feature lighting, making progress on office refurbishments, refining the finer details and planning what’s next.

Sometimes it’s about Winston making an appearance in the office and immediately demanding snacks for the meetings.

And sometimes it’s about standing outside the workshop dressed head-to-toe in Scotland gear for a World Cup campaign for our friends at Thistle Scottish Gifts

Our clients seem to have a habit of choosing some pretty incredible locations. Quiet corners of the UK that most people only dream about escaping to.

The last thing you want is a tiny window getting in the way of a view like that. That’s why so many of our buildings are designed with large glazing and floor-to-ceiling windows, helping bring the outside in and making the most of whatever sits beyond the glass.

If you’re lucky enough to have a view worth looking at, you might as well make it part of the building!

When it’s the weekend and you’ve booked a staycation here


Tucked away in the Dumfries & Galloway countryside, this dreamy two-person escape is the perfect place to switch off for the weekend.

This is , a Coorie unit, and it is looking amazing. Complete with a kitchenette, shower room, stunning views and even an outdoor bath, it’s exactly the kind of place you arrive at on a Friday evening and never want to leave.

People ask us all the time if we have a showroom, but right now the workshop is the showroom.

One of Colin’s favourite parts of the job is bringing people into the workshop and letting them see the process for themselves.

When you visit, you’ll usually see containers mid-conversion, welders fabricating, joiners fitting interiors and projects taking shape in real time.

It’s busy, noisy and constantly evolving, which is exactly what makes it interesting.

We’ve got big plans for the future and maybe one day there will be a proper showroom too. But honestly, our portfolio and the amazing clients we’ve worked with says more than any showroom ever could. A lot of our completed projects are out there being lived in, worked in and enjoyed every single day, and sometimes our clients are even happy for future customers to go and experience them for themselves.

Most days at Iron & Pine look a bit like this 👇
The coffee machine working overtime
Music on in the workshop
Phone calls about orders, deliveries and supplies
Someone measuring the same thing for the third time just to be safe.
And at least one person saying, “can you send the drawings?”

There’s a lot that goes into what we do behind the scenes, but that’s the part we love. The detail, the process, the graft and seeing an idea slowly turn into something properly special with the best team!
