Just another professional day at Iron & Pine 🎬

We’ve recently been out filming content for our new flagship site campaign and as you can see, it all went very smoothly.

At this point, we’re thinking of starting a series dedicated entirely to Alistair walking in and out of shots.

We’ve been blown away by the response to our Flagship Site opportunities so far.

There is still time to get involved! We’re looking for farms, estates and rural businesses across Somerset, North Yorkshire, the Cotswolds and Cheshire that want to do something more with their site, whether that’s starting from scratch, adding more units or upgrading what’s already there.

Our selected Flagship Sites will get a significant discount on their first three units, and we’re keen to get the first sites up and running early next year.

And if you’re wondering whether the bookings are actually out there, one of our clients messaged us last week, pretty stunned that they’re sitting at 88% occupancy for September and 83% for October.

Not bad for the ‘quiet’ season.

A fresh new look for one of our clients 👏

Galloway Retreats has officially launched its new brand, complete with a new logo, new decor, new website… and some very photogenic Highland Coos.

This one is particularly special to us. Galloway Retreats was one of our very first clients and we love nothing more than seeing the businesses we work with grow and evolve.

Over the years, we’ve built a welcome bothy, holiday accommodation and bike storage for the family, so it’s been brilliant to see the business continue to develop.

The new branding looks fantastic.

What a week at Iron & Pine! 👏

Awards, exciting projects on the go and plenty happening in the workshop… but probably the best news of the week is that our very own almost-no-longer-an-apprentice joiner, Andrew, has passed his skills test with top marks in his group!

Andrew has been with us pretty much since the beginning, and we’ve watched him grow into a brilliant joiner and a huge part of the Iron & Pine team.

He’s not officially finished his apprenticeship until October, but safe to say we’re proud as punch.

And obviously, we couldn’t let the occasion pass without digging out a photo from his early Iron & Pine days…

Well done, Andrew, very well deserved! 👏

We’re finalists! 🎉

We’re delighted to share that we have been named a finalist in The Herald Property Awards for Scotland, in the Innovation in Sustainable Construction & Design category.

Our entry focused on Shulista Croft Longhouse and Cabins on the Isle of Skye, a project that really demonstrates the longevity, flexibility and sustainability of modular construction.

We brought an existing Iron & Pine unit back to our Dalbeattie workshop, refreshed it for its new home and purpose, before transporting it to Skye, giving the building its third lease of life and adjacent to the crofts original Longhouse.

For us, sustainable construction isn’t just about the materials you use. It’s about designing and building in a way that allows buildings to adapt, evolve and be reused rather than replaced.

We’re incredibly proud to see that approach recognised by The Herald and to be named a finalist alongside some brilliant projects.

Now we wait for awards night…🤞

Why are we posting a snowy photo in the middle of one of our hottest weeks?!

We know a lot of holiday let providers are looking ahead to autumn and thinking about winding down after a busy summer.

Or are they?

Our accommodation units are built in Scotland with year-round use in mind. Proper insulation, heating and high-quality interiors mean they’re just as suited to a winter escape as a summer stay.

That means more opportunities for bookings, and more visitors supporting local businesses outside the traditional summer season, wherever you are in the UK.

Anyway, enough winter chat… who thinks the bosses should be treating the workshop to a cold pint in this weather? 👀🍺
