We were recently approached by a customer who had installed an RSJ without getting a design calculation done prior, therefore building control wouldn't sign it off as safe. So my team went to the property and did a structural assessment, we then carried out the appropriate calculation to ensure the beam installed was of satisfactory strength, Thankfully it was.
