On the 17th of May Christine and Annie are taking part in a charity walk from Clacton pier to Walton-on-the-Naze pier in memory of Chris’s sister / Annie’s auntie, Susie, and to support St Helena Hospice. St Helena’s were a massive support to not only Susie in her final months, but also her family.

Unfortunately, like many other hospices, they rely hugely on donations and charity events just like this. Any support would be greatly appreciated by Chris, Annie and all their family 🧡

Today the office team had a day out in London, using their Christmas present from Paul; a James Bond experience. They had to follow clues, go into to various pubs and shops to get the next steps and overall work together to solve the mystery. A great day out🕵🏻‍♂️

This morning looked a little different for 2 of our engineers.

Instead of a standard job setup in a house or flat, we found ourselves working inside an escape room; carrying out a repair to a bathroom rest bend stack serving the 8 flats above.

With the stack still live, this wasn’t a straightforward repair. To keep everything flowing and minimise disruption to residents, we installed a patching sleeve as a temporary section of pipe. This allowed waste water to continue running safely while we completed the repair.

Jobs like this are a great reminder that no two days are ever the same for us.

Problem-solving, adapting to the environment, and keeping services running, that’s what it’s all about.

And to top it off… the engineers even managed a little dance in one of the rooms afterwards 🕺

Happy International Women’s Day to all the incredible women out there, but a special shoutout to Christine, Georgia and Annie - the women of Flow 3.

While the girls may not be the ones doing the unblocking themselves, their role plays a massive part in keeping London flowing. Their hard work behind the scenes doesn’t go unnoticed, and the team wouldn’t run the same without you💪🏼🌸

Last week one of our clients got the personal touch with our directors Ryan and Christine carrying out a roof survey themselves.

This is a complex case, which Ryan has been working closely with the client to come up with the best course of action so he wanted to carry out the survey himself (and Chris was intrigued!)

We believe in being hands-on and fully involved in our projects. Getting on site, understanding the details first-hand, and working closely with our clients to make sure the right decisions are made. It’s all part of the service we pride ourselves on.

And after a morning on the roof, Ryan even treated Chris to a well-earned pie and mash for lunch, a proper way to round off a productive site visit!

No job is too challenging or awkward for us💪🏗️

Whilst on one of our planned maintenance sites in Hammersmith & Fulham, our guys identified the need for a MEWP, which was not on our original scope of works. Within 24 hours we had a spider platform arranged and delivered to site yesterday morning to allow us to complete the necessary works. In this case we needed the height to get to access caps (or to create access) to clear stacks and rainwater pipes as well as washing down the roofs over the main entrance door. A bonus - it matches our uniform! 🧡

We will always do everything we can to achieve the best outcome for our residents and clients; even if it means going above and beyond our original plans.

Great news from the team 👏

Following our previous completion of the Water Jetting Association (WJA) course and the recent completion of the Health, Safety and Environment test, some of our engineers have started to receive their 'Drainage and Sewerage Installation and Maintenance Engineer' Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) cards. A big win all round, for Flow 3 and the engineers.

It’s great to see the effort everyone puts into keeping standards high and making sure we’re site-ready and working safely. Massive credit to everyone for getting it done.
