🎉 100 GOOGLE REVIEWS! THANK YOU! 🎉

Wow… 100 Google reviews for Gaughans Group! 🙌

When I started building this business, I wanted to create a local company people could genuinely rely on for their plumbing, heating and drainage needs.

Every recommendation, every repeat customer and every review has helped me get one step closer to that goal.

As an independent local business, your support means more than you probably realise. ❤️

A massive thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their homes and businesses, recommended us to friends and family, or taken the time to share their experience.

I'm proud to be serving Deal and the wider East Kent community, and I'm looking forward to helping many more of you.

And to celebrate reaching 100 reviews… keep your eyes peeled 👀🎁

We've got something exciting coming soon!

BOILER CONDEMNED & £4,000+ QUOTE… THEN WE WERE CALLED IN.

Friday afternoon I received a call from a lady who was understandably in a bit of a panic.

She’d already had an engineer attend her property who had condemned the existing boiler, and she’d been quoted over £4,000 for a replacement boiler.

She’d been referred to Gaughans Group through Facebook and asked if I could come out, have a look and give her a second opinion.

I attended the property, assessed the existing installation and discussed the options with her.

Having looked at what was required, I was able to provide a quote for a brand-new Ideal Logic C24 boiler, at nearly half the price she had originally been quoted.

She accepted the quote — and because nobody wants to be left without heating or hot water going into winter, we got straight on with it.

Less than 24 hours later, Saturday morning, we were back on site.

The old boiler was removed and the new Ideal Logic C24 was installed, along with a new EPH programmer and room thermostat.

The system was then commissioned and the installation completed in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements.

Another customer now has a reliable new boiler ready for the winter, without paying the £4,000+ price tag they'd originally been given.

This is exactly why, if you've been told your boiler is condemned or you're facing a large replacement bill, it can be worth getting a second professional opinion.

At Gaughans Group, we don't believe in simply replacing something for the sake of it. We'll assess the situation properly, explain your options and provide a clear, competitive quotation.

I genuinely thought leaving my 9–5 would mean I’d work less…

😂 Turns out I was massively wrong.

I left the 9–5 thinking I’d have more freedom… now I’m working earlier, finishing later and somehow still thinking about work when I’m meant to be off! 🤣

But honestly, I wouldn’t change it.

I’m building Gaughans Group from the ground up, meeting loads of great people and getting to do what I actually enjoy every day. 🔧🚐

I thought I’d start doing more day-in-the-life videos so you can see the person behind the business, the jobs we get up to and what life is actually like running a plumbing, heating & drainage company.

And if you’re local and ever need a hand with anything…

📲 Give Gaughans Group a shout.

😂 So apparently tradies should be swapping the vans for bikes…

Imagine turning up to an emergency plumbing job on a push bike with:

🔧 £10k worth of tools
💦 Drain jetter
📹 CCTV kit
🔥 Boiler parts
🪜 Ladders
…and a full load of copper & fittings.

“Sorry mate, I’m just cycling back to the van for the rest.” 😂

Then leave the bike outside for 10 minutes…

Bike gone. Tools gone. Job delayed. 🤦‍♂️

I’m all for greener transport… but my van is basically my workshop on wheels! 🚐😂

Can you actually imagine the chaos?

🔧 ANOTHER ONE SORTED WITH HPE SERVICES 🤝

Out giving Lee from HPE Services a hand on this one after the customer’s existing indirect vented cylinder developed a leak, we went straught from the conversion we done over to this swap and got it sorted

The old cylinder was removed and replaced with a new direct vented cylinder, getting the hot water system back up and running and everything left neat, tidy and properly tested. 💪

Another good job working alongside Lee, and credit where it’s due — he’s the one who got Gaughans Group involved and brought me in to give him a hand.

Always happy to work alongside other quality local trades and help get the job done properly. 👊

Go give Lee and HPE Services a follow and show him some support!

🔧 WORKING ALONGSIDE HPE SERVICES 🤝🔥

Out giving Lee from HPE Services a hand on this one — a full conversion from a traditional system boiler & vented cylinder setup over to an Ideal Logic Max combi.

The customer wanted the copper pipework left on show rather than being lagged, so we’ve kept everything neat and tidy while giving the installation the finish they wanted.

We also fitted a frost stat as part of the new setup to help protect the system during those colder months. ❄️🔥

Always good working alongside other quality local trades, and Lee has absolutely smashed this install. 👏

Big thanks to Lee for getting Gaughans Group involved and letting me get stuck in. It’s good to be part of jobs like this, working together, sharing the workload and getting the job done properly. 💪

This one was Lee’s job, but I’m always happy to lend a hand when another local business needs it — and hopefully we’ll get plenty more opportunities to work together in the future. 🤝

Go give Lee and HPE Services a follow — plenty of good work going on over there! 👊

🚨 YOU CAN’T SEE IT. YOU CAN’T SMELL IT. YOU CAN’T HEAR IT.

And that’s exactly what makes carbon monoxide so dangerous.

Your boiler could be running.
Your heating could be working.
Everything could appear completely normal.

But when it comes to gas appliances, “it seems fine” isn't a safety check.

🔥 Boiler
🔥 Gas fire
🔥 Gas cooker
🔥 Other gas appliances

If yours hasn't been serviced recently, now is a good time to get it checked.

At Gaughans Group, we’re a local, Gas Safe registered plumbing & heating company covering Deal, Dover, Canterbury, Thanet, Folkestone, Hythe, Ashford and surrounding areas.

We don't just turn up, do the job and disappear.

We want to be the company you know, trust and call whenever something goes wrong in your home. 🏠

😂 WHEN THE TABLES TURN…

Monday morning: I’m looking everywhere for my labourer.

Friday morning: apparently THEY’RE looking everywhere for me… 👀

The search operation got serious.
The bin was checked.
Everywhere was searched.

And then somehow… one of them managed to find a bollard instead. 🤦‍♂️😂

You can’t park there, mate. 😂

Fair play boys, you got me this time! 🤣
