Conservation, restoration and new commissions undertaken by John Corley Dip AD, ACR, ICON accredited New commissions designed and manufactured.

Medieval glass, Victorian and contemporary painted, stained and leaded glazing is conserved at our studio on behalf of English Heritage, The National Trust, The Churches Conservation Trust, ecclesiastical buildings and private commissions undertaken. Our studio has a vast selection of unique mouthblown and handmade object d'art and blown glass ornament and handmade jewellery made at our studio and by other English glass artists.

WINTER GROUP SHOW 2026/27

Tomorrow marks one month until the submission window closes on 24th October!

If you have already purchased your pass, there is still plenty of time to prepare your submission. We look forward to seeing your work whenever you are ready!

If you haven’t yet secured a pass, a small number remain. Passes have been snapped up twice as quickly as last year, so we would encourage you to secure yours soon if you would like the opportunity to submit.

These installation shots from previous Winter Group Shows are a reminder of what makes our annual flagship exhibition so special. Bringing together an extraordinary breadth of contemporary art from across the UK and overseas, the exhibition fills the gallery with new discoveries and familiar favourites, making it a highlight for artists, collectors and visitors alike.

New studio exhibition glass and commissions. All aspects of conservation practice, restoration and repair carried out ‘in house’.

Direct contracts or sub-contracts including glass removed from site to the studio for works as required or architect specifications ; returned to site and reinstalled.

Trip to London to attend Varnishing Day at Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

The journey included a visit to Tate Britain to pay homage to the master that is JMW Turner. The collection includes the great self portrait aged 24 years.

Full of inspiration after viewing the works ‘up close’.

A prolific artist of oil painting, watercolour and of course, drawing.

It is no wonder he had RA connections at such an early age with such prodigious talent!

Joyous day yesterday at The Royal Academy Summer Show Varnishing Day!

Great to see my two entries on the walls and meeting up with old friends.

Exhibition opens to the public next Tuesday and runs until Sunday 23rd August.

1. Studio Glass Conservation :

WIP

From lead matrix rubbings

Severely damaged painted and stained C19. glass removed from site to the studio and temporary glass fitted into lead canes.

Glass, paint and stain selected from studio stocks to match as close as possible to the original.

Lamberts ‘Antique’ pot metal green tints selected, cut to shape from lead came rubbing pattern ; painted, silver stained and fired.

1. The insertion of painted and silver stained pot metal antique glass.

2. A mix of glass painting pigment and gum arabic to ‘fill” missing small painted area to complete the restoration following high-level damage.
