🏢Transport House Project

In 2008, Frenger supplied Australia’s first Multi-Service Chilled Beam project to Transport House the heritage listed office building, originally known as Railway House, which is located in the Sydney central business district.

Frenger’s MSCBs continue to be used in Transport House to this day, showcasing not only their energy efficiency, but also their longevity and over the past decade the maintenance has been absolute minimal.

Earth hour is fast approaching this weekend, encouraging us to give an hour for the earth by 'switching off'.

Switching off your lights is a great way to participate.

World Humidity Control Day 2025

Humidity Control plays an essential part in creating a comfortable, efficient and healthy indoor environment.

💧What are Active Chilled Beams?

Active Chilled Beams provide efficient cooling by primarily using water which is a far more efficient medium of heat transfer than air, commonly used in other traditional systems.

How they work ⬇️

Chilled and/or LTHW water circulates through the heat exchanger of the ACB, while fresh air is delivered via nozzles along the length of the unit, creating a negative pressure, this induces room air through the heat exchanger increasing the output. Induced room air is mixed with the fresh air supply then gently discharged back into the space to ensure high thermal comfort levels.

🏢Multi-Service Chilled Beam Lighting Upgrades: T5 to LED Lighting

Back in 2012, Frenger supplied the extensive refurbishment of the Harlequin Building, 65 Southwark Street, a post war commercial office space which was transformed into a modern, Grade A office environment.

Our ‘Slim Line’ Active Multi-Service Chilled Beams (MSCBs) were seamlessly integrated into the newly refurbished office space.

As of February 2024, the production of T5 lamps became prohibited in the UK, with LED lighting emerging as the more efficient solution, as a result of these regulations Frenger were contacted to upgrade their MSCBs previously supplied to the longer- lasting LED lighting.
