The beauty of a kitchen often comes down to the details, and how they work together.

For this project, we explored a number of different material palettes to see how the same architectural space could take on a completely different character.

Deep blues.
Natural timber.
Rich greens.
Warm burgundy.
Dark stone.

The layout remains the same, but changes in cabinetry, worktops, splashbacks and finishes completely transform the feel of the room.

The large central island anchors the space, while full-height cabinetry keeps the kitchen clean and considered. Rooflights bring natural light deep into the plan, balancing the darker finishes and creating a bright, contemporary space.

Good design isn’t simply about choosing what looks best individually, it’s about finding the combination that feels right as a whole.

Would you believe this is the same home? 👀

What began as a modest single-storey property has been completely transformed into a spacious, light-filled family home.

By reworking the existing layout, extending the rear and unlocking the unused roof space, we were able to introduce:

• A generous open-plan kitchen and living space
• Large areas of glazing connecting the home to its surroundings
• Valuable new accommodation within the roof
• A characterful rear extension that complements the original brickwork

This project is a great example of why you should never underestimate the potential already within an existing property. With the right design, even a relatively modest home can be completely reimagined.
