Project Delivery Lead

Full-time, Permanent position. Pay: £30,000 - £35,000 per year. (plus bonus scheme)

Due to consistent growth we are seeking a Project Delivery Lead for various projects around the UK. You will be responsible for the on time delivery of current projects and the final commissioning of the sprinkler systems in residential & domestic buildings.

Duties:

✔️First point of contact for installation engineers and site clients.

✔️Supervision of installations and maintenance of site paperwork & drawings.

✔️Control of site labour and works programme with a strong focus on Key dates and handover as required.

✔️Final commissioning of all sprinkler systems and handover.

Experience & Requirements:

✔️Sprinkler installation and Commissioning: 1 year minimum

✔️Driving Licence

✔️CSCS Card

✔️Willingness to travel

New Fire Safety Regulations: Sprinklers to Become Mandatory in All English Care Homes by 2025

Starting March 2025, fire sprinklers will become mandatory in all care homes across England, following a landmark decision by Westminster in response to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry's phase one recommendations.

The tragedy of Grenfell, which claimed the lives of 72 residents, has led to much-needed reforms to protect vulnerable populations. Among these are new fire safety protocols and the requirement for sprinklers in care homes—regardless of their height.

It highlighted the crucial role sprinklers play in protecting residents who may rely on others for evacuation in case of a fire. Many care home providers already prioritise sprinklers in their new designs. However, for those who do not yet comply, the government is offering a six-month transition period, with an additional six months to allow for ongoing or planned projects to be completed.

What is a Dry Riser and how is it different to a Wet Riser?

Why do you need Dry Risers?
For optimal functionality and adherence to legal standards, your system must undergo careful design, installation, and regular testing in accordance with British Standards.

In the event of a fire, the individual responsible for the building – be it the property owner, landlord, or facilities manager – must demonstrate that the dry riser system has been regularly tested and possesses a valid certificate of compliance.

As per BS9990 guidelines, it is recommended to visually test a dry riser every six months, and legally, dry risers must undergo an annual testing requirement. This ensures not only the effectiveness of the system but also its alignment with legal obligations.
