🚿 Another job done – accessibility made better 🚿

We were recently contacted by a landlord we work closely with regarding a sliding shower door that was causing accessibility issues for an older-age tenant. The limited opening space was making day-to-day use difficult, so we stepped in to help.

Our team supplied and fitted a smart chrome bi-fold shower door, maximising the opening space and making access much easier and safer. As always, the installation was carried out by our fully qualified and insured plumber, ensuring quality workmanship every time.

Before finishing up, we were also asked about adding hand rails all the way around for extra support. We’ll be back within the week to fit two hand rails, which will be a really effective addition for getting in and out of the shower safely.

🚨 Ceiling Leak – Fully Resolved from Start to Finish 🚨

We were recently called out to investigate a leak coming through a ceiling. After carefully stripping the ceiling back, we traced the issue to a faulty water feed supplying the upstairs toilet.

Once identified, the leak was professionally repaired at source, stopping any further water damage. From there, SCS Group’s fully qualified and skilled contractors installed professional drying equipment to ensure all moisture was completely removed from the joists and surrounding areas – a crucial step to prevent future issues.

After the area was fully dry:
🔧 Our plasterer re-boarded and skimmed the ceiling
🎨 Our painter then repainted the entire room to ensure a seamless, high-quality finish

The end result? You honestly wouldn’t know there had ever been a problem.

🚨 Emergency Call-Out Success! 🚨
Today the SCS Group Contracting Services team responded to a fairly heavy leak coming from a bathroom on the second floor. What initially seemed manageable turned out to be a faulty fitting that could have caused major damage if left any longer.

Thanks to the quick thinking of one of our skilled plumbers, the issue was identified by cutting precise access holes in the floor to trace the source of the leak. The faulty fitting was replaced, the entire affected area was thoroughly dried, and the carpet was relaid perfectly — as if we were never there.

Another job completed with care, expertise, and minimal disruption. 👨‍🔧💧
