Genuine and honest little tractor that has become available due to customer having a change in practice.

Not your usual yard tractor, 40kph and front axle brakes. Cosmetically it’s straight and in good order for its age! Mechanically it’s good, no play in front axle. Strong linkage that is still tight and straight.

3 out of 4 tyres are perished as can be seen in photos, but all hold air. Front LH tyre is nearly new 90% as recently replaced.

Did you know — a machine can have a LOLER certificate and still be unsafe and illegal to use?

Here’s how:

Technically, the need for a Thorough Examination comes from LOLER 98 (Regulation 9)…

…But LOLER applies to lifting equipment. So some inspections focus on lifting parts only…

…Which means a truck or telehandler could get a LOLER certificate even if its brakes and steering are never checked…

…Which could then mean it’s unsafe to use, and in breach of PUWER 98.

It’s confusing, and potentially risky. And that’s why at CFTS, we always talk about a Thorough Examination that covers the whole machine… both LOLER *and* PUWER.
