We have a heavy involvement with the racing fraternity from Drifting to professional Racing Teams, Circuit Racers to Rally teams, privateer Hillclimb and Sprinters to Drag racers and current F1 teams. Our Headquarters are situated in Christchurch, Dorset; 20 miles West of Southampton on the South coast of England. The Company owns and occupies a site with two modern purpose built industrial units totalling 8500 sq ft. We also have a dedicated manufacturing facility in a 5000 sq ft factory unit in close proximity. In 2009, Turbo Dynamics acquired a new unit in Christchurch for extra storage space and as a base for the company's racing activities. The two core businesses of the company are the supply of new and reconditioned exchange turbochargers for the passenger car and van market, covering all makes and the design and manufacture of hybrid turbochargers for high performance applications. Our hybrid turbocharger catalogue lists over 500 applications, being reputedly the largest range offered in the world. In addition we have other customer bases in the Motorcycle, Commercial Vehicle, Industrial, Agricultural and Marine sectors and an ever-increasing spare parts program to companies all around the world. We also design and manufacture parts and performance accessories in-house, as well as being distributors for some of the leading brand names in this field. What a stunning Yacht we just supplied a new OE Turbocharger to, its called Snow Wolf a Nautor Swan 48 ( Designed by Sparkman and Stephens ) it won the Christmas lights competition at Haslar Marina in Gosport. We at Turbo Dynamics can’t stress enough how critical it is you let your turbocharger slow down and cool down after driving. It will still be hot and spinning on bearings that have oil pumped from the oil pump flowing through it as it slows down from 125000 to 175000 rpm to a resting 10,000 rpm from the exhaust gas at idle. Causes damage to the bearings oil gets carbonised on the bearing now running dry. The oil has very small channels to pump through and cool and you are doing more harm than good. Give it 90 seconds when stopped and give the turbo a chance to slow down and cool or face long term damage and a big bill from garage and cost or repair or replacement turbocharger. Think about the cost and potential damage to engine as a possibility.
