“Our design isn’t suitable for injection moulding.”

We hear this more often than you might think.

A part may have been designed for CNC machining, 3D printing or simply around its function — without considering how it could eventually be manufactured at volume.

That doesn’t necessarily mean injection moulding is off the table.

At ProPlastix Ltd, we can review your design from a manufacturing perspective and identify what may need to change to make injection moulding practical.

That could include:

• Wall thickness and consistency
• Undercuts and tool access
• Draft angles
• Parting lines
• Ribs, bosses and fixing points
• Material selection
