NUGENT Charity Pub Quiz 🍻📝

On Friday evening, our colleagues met at to take part in our Charity Pub Quiz, to raise funds for our charity of the year, Alzheimer's Society. This was an evening full of laughs and entertainment, all with the aim to raise as much funds as we can for this great cause, while having fun doing so 😁

During the quiz, we raffled off a great range of prizes, kindly donated by local businesses in the Pomeroy area, which was greatly appreciated, thank you all so much!

We are happy to say we raised £478 from the evening👏 - which has been added to our fundraising pot. Thank you to everyone who took part, helped in organising and facilitating the evening, and to all who donated - thank you once again 😄

Recent progress on the Dundonald International Ice Bowl project seen the successful installation of a new OSM plantroom installed on-site 🌟

NUGENT is proud to be delivering the MEP services for this landmark redevelopment, working alongside main contractor Heron Bros.

A key element of this project is our Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) capability. From our dedicated manufacturing facility at Pomeroy headquarters, our team designed, manufactured and pre-assembled the plantrooms before delivering them to site fully tested and ready for installation.

By adopting this OSM approach, we're delivering:
✅ Enhanced quality through controlled factory conditions
✅ Improved safety with reduced on-site work
✅ Lower programme risk and greater installation certainty
✅ Faster, more efficient project delivery

📌Project Spotlight | Harrods H Beauty, Chester 💄

Today we're looking back at one of our Specialist Works projects completed earlier this year – the successful delivery of the full mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) installation for the new H Beauty store in Chester.

Our team was responsible for the design coordination, installation, testing and commissioning of the store's core building services, including high-performance HVAC, specialist electrical installations and fully integrated plumbing systems.

Working closely with the client and project partners, we delivered a high-quality MEP solution that met the premium standards expected of the Harrods brand while maintaining programme deadlines and ensuring seamless integration with the store's luxury interior.

We're proud to have played a key role in bringing another flagship retail space to life.

We're incredibly proud of our own Ewan Forsythe, who has been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year at the 2026 Northern Ireland Construction Awards. Ewan is a shining example of the talented apprentices developing at NUGENT, and his commitment, skill and dedication to his craft continue to set him apart.

In the past year alone, some of what Ewan has done has been reaching the UK SkillELECTRIC Final, placing among the top eight finalists nationwide, and was also named Runner-Up at the ECA - Excellence in Electrotechnical and Engineering Services Apprentice of the Year Awards. These achievements are a testament to his hard work, and we're excited to see what the future holds for him. 👏

Our team from NUGENT were delighted to take part in two fantastic charity golf days this year, supporting the incredible work of Make-A-Wish UK. 🩵

We joined at Ballycastle Golf Club and also participated in their London Charity Golf Day at The Shire London.
