🔥 Ever wondered what happens before your coal reaches the bag?

At our Belfast processing facility, imported coal is washed and screened to remove impurities and grade it by size.

From there, our premium coal and smokeless fuels can be prepacked at our Belfast or Dungannon facilities before heading out for distribution.

So there's a lot happening behind the scenes before a bag of Hayes Fuels reaches your fire!

Quality fuel. Prepared for the colder months ahead.

🔥 Not all solid fuels are the same — so which one is right for you?

Looking for premium traditional coal? Black Diamond could be your choice.

Want a high-heat value option? Take a look at Hi-Heat, which combines coal and smokeless fuel.

Looking for smokeless? Glolite is a popular Hayes option.

Or for suitable gravity-fed systems, Anthracite Beans and Grains provide a low flame and long burn time.

Not sure? Get in touch with the Hayes Fuels team and we can help point you in the right direction.

Always check the fuel requirements specified by your appliance manufacturer.

Thanks for the fantastic review, David!

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our colleague, Elizabeth McCullough, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday 2nd September 2026.

For more than 5 years Elizabeth was a highly valued member of the Hayes Fuels team at our Belfast office. She was a dedicated worker who completed her work to the highest standard and her friendly smile and gentle approach made her a much-loved colleague and a familiar, welcoming presence among our staff and customers.

Elizabeth will be greatly missed by us all.

We extend our sincere sympathies to her husband, Noel: son, Ian; her daughter-in-law, Janine; and her grandchildren, Aaron, Anna and Matthew and family circle.
