Transport Manager/Business Manager for Haulage Company
Bedfordshire, South East England
£34,000 - £40,000 per annum, negotiable
Transport Manager needed for Small family run successful haulage business, specialising in HIAB Vehicles, Artics and Ridgids based near Luton in Bedfordshire.

For the role of Transport Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that you manage the performance of the transport department by using allocated resources efficiently and effectively, including managing both transport and employees on a day to day basis.

We have an average of 10 vehicles with full rear steer trailers and HIABS.

Other duties include:

Organising mechanic/office staff

Health and safety

Responsible for planning Job routes for Abnormal loads (75% of our work is abnormal loads)

A successful candidate would have good staff leadership, management and motivation. For the right person we are happy to train on the relevant topics.

It is essential in the business that the transport manager have a HGV licence and CPC, HIAB licence is preferrable (However for the right person we will ensure training is received).

Basic working hours are Mon-Fri 8am - 6pm, however there is regualr overtime.
