To my friends of the recent NCL Star (April cruise - Tampa to Lisbon) and the NCL Dawn (November cruise - Barcelona - Tampa), please accept my apologies for my silence, a matter of a busy period catch up with work and and influx of new cases.

I hope you are all well and enjoying life :-)

Presently in France, enjoying some down time at Chez Rob, "ma petite maison près de Bellac, Nouvelle-Aquitaine". It hot 45C/113F!!

Good day,

This week I have been helping in a matter where an electrician in the course of changing a light fitting (luminaire) within the roof space of a hospital clinic has received an electrical shock.

The electrician was positioned midway up a pair of step ladders, and given the electrical shock, fell from the step ladders and sustained spinal injuries. The guy is now wheel chair bound most probably for the rest of his life.

The cause of the electrical shock? Incorrect wiring of an innovative lighting system that alleges,.. Luminaires can be connected in seconds in absolute safety, without ‘circuit isolation’, as all ‘live’ contacts are inaccessible and the earth connection is made before any other”

Not the fault of the manufacturer of the lighting components but the installer !!
