At P&M Sinclair, we are keen to invest in apprenticeships and the career pathways of local young people. We have apprentice opportunities in bricklaying for programmes starting in August 2026.
To suit the demands of the work and the associated college course, we would be looking for potential candidates to be 5th or 6th year leavers with a selection of qualifications including National 5 Maths and one Higher in any subject. Candidates with other relevant experience will be considered.

Alan started as an apprentice with P&M Sinclair on 5th November 1979, and after nearly 47 years of continuous service, he’s off for a well-earned early retirement.

Thanks Alan for all of your years of hard work and commitment, and for helping to make P&M Sinclair what it is today!

We started a new cohort of bricklaying apprentices today. They'll gain valuable site experience with us over the summer before heading to Edinburgh College in early September. Welcome to the team lads!

We’ve been working with Penicuik High School this year to support their S4 Construction class. We sent Brian (Construction Manager) with one of our current apprentices over to help and Principal Teacher Paul Beards has been in touch….

“We were delighted with the donation of construction materials and equipment that P&M Sinclair gifted to the school. These resources have been a welcome addition to our construction resources. Brian was an excellent tutor with a lifetime of construction experience which he enthusiastically communicated to our pupils.
