WE’RE HIRING – STEEPLEJACKS

We are a growing company experiencing high demand for our services, delivering high-quality work across industrial, commercial, and heritage structures throughout Scotland. Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit motivated and reliable Steeplejacks to join our team.

The Role
You will be working at height on a variety of structures, including historic buildings and industrial chimneys. Duties include maintenance, repairs, installation projects, and high-level inspections using our new company app.

We’re looking for:
Experienced Steeplejacks

Requirements:
• Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)
• IRATA qualification (preferred but not essential)
• Comfortable working at height
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Willingness to travel and work nationwide
• Ability to work well within a friendly team

We’re incredibly proud to share that our team has received an award for Excellent Site Safety from Diageo Distillers at the Bio-Plant, Cameron Bridge Distillery.

This recognition follows our recent high-risk confined space rescue operation using rope access techniques. It reflects the hard work, professionalism, and commitment our team brings to every project, ensuring safety remains the top priority at all times.

A huge well done to our lads on site for their skill and dedication, and to our office staff whose planning and support make operations like this possible.

Huge well done to Mark MacRae, Aaron Jones, and Chris Igoe for successfully completing their training at the Scottish Lime Centre 👏

The course, Producing a Work Plan for a Conservation or Restoration Project, is an SQA Professional Development Award (PDA) at Levels 5 & 6.

It has strengthened their skills in assessing traditional buildings and planning repair works in line with conservation principles and current legislation.
Not an easy course, but a vital one for the work we do on historic buildings. A much-needed course for the industry, with the next group booked in later this year.
Well done, lads! 👏

At Igoe Up Ltd, we do our best to ensure our employees’ mental health and happiness at work are always at the forefront of how we operate as a business.

Having worked my way up from apprentice level to running my own company, I fully understand how tough life can get — both financially and mentally. That understanding shapes the way we look after our lads.
With the added financial pressure that often follows the Christmas period, we’ve decided to offer our team the option to take part of their wages a little earlier, which will slowly come off later wages as to not cause further issues later, helping to ease any short-term financial worries.

We’re also sharing information about local Andys Man Club groups, so anyone who needs it can access this free, confidential support service and talk privately about whatever they may be going through.
