We know it’s late notice, but the best times are the ones that spring out of nowhere.

Endeavour’s beer pong streak needs to be kept alive, time to show them who we are 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅

ADA-II, the successor to ADA-I, had big boots to fill at MACH25. Sadly, due to uncooperative weather, we weren’t able to witness her soar just yet.

But it wasn’t all storm clouds. A ray of light broke through: Endeavour was honoured with the Best Outreach Team award and placed 5th in Category 3, thanks to our incredible outreach members. A huge thank you goes out to them for their amazing work and passion for introducing aerospace to the next generation.

The Darwin team has worked tirelessly, pushing the limits with rapid prototyping and low-cost testing through our ASIMOV program. This isn’t the end. Darwin doesn’t falter. ADA-II is already preparing for a launch in Fairelemior in the coming weeks—with clearer skies ahead (we hope… Scottish weather permitting) and lessons from MACH25 in hand.

Time heals all things,we can only wait and hope it applies to rockets, too.

We’d also like to thank our sponsors for their continued support and belief in the endeavour each of our members takes on: Spinning Around, Flowcopter, Pear Tree, and more, thank you for standing by us.

We’ll see you soon.

The Haggis Payload Clique won’t forget the Tunnock Payload Clique.

📸 Huge thanks to and .marshall30 for the photos

Our debut aircraft, “Evenflow”, completed its first official launch at the IMechE UAS Challenge. It was a bumpy road, the start of any journey never comes easy. “Evenflow” flew, it touched the sky, and while it only got a taste of the never-ending sky it was meant to explore, it did not last.

This competition was a learning experience, not a setback, but a turning point. It didn’t deter the team, but what it did do, it defined the direction it must go.
Movement, motion, and direction have been set.All that’s left now is to wait and witness the vision Rankine will bring to life next year.

We would like to talk our sponsors for the competition Spinning Around, Easycompsites, Pear Tree, and Flowcopter for the tremendous help with helping “Evenflow” taste the sky and for the members of Endeavour pushing forward.

Motion + Direction = Movement.

These are the two ingredients that our Avionics/Electrical teams from Rankine, Bayes, and Darwin have mastered to move forward.

Darwin:
Meet Iris, our rocket’s heart and mind that will be utilized for ADA-II for the MACH25 competition . Packed with state‐of‐the‐art sensors, Iris calculates thousands of data points every second and streams real‐time telemetry to our dedicated ground station. Developed from scratch by our engineers, this flight computer is a testament to countless hours in the lab. We’ve come far, but we’ll keep pushing rocketry to new heights!

Bayes Electronics:
The motion of Bayes has yet to see any dissipation. Say hello to the “brain” of our model rocket: a brand‐new flight computer PCB by Bayes Electronics! Powered by a Teensy microcontroller and Arduino breakouts, this board collects sensor data, drives four servos, and enables active rocket control. Launching later this year, it’s a huge milestone on our journey to new heights!

Rankine:
Here’s a peek under the hood of our aircraft! Two batteries power everything, while the motor + ESC combo drives the prop. A GPS module tracks location, and telemetry radios beam real‐time flight data back and forth. The pitot tube and pressure sensor work together to gauge airspeed, and our trusty transmitter + receiver keep human control inputs flowing. Every piece is critical to helping this plane soar in the IMECH competition this June!

A little sneak peek at our Rankine Avionics Lead’s mini project (James Kitching).

Drinks sorted 🤤! Thank you, The Pear Tree, for the sponsorship.

The Pear Tree is a historic gem in the heart of Edinburgh and the perfect spot for a drink. Next time you are around the centre of Edinburgh, don’t miss the opportunity to soak in the centuries of history and the knowledge of people who visited before our time.
