IT SYSTEMS and GENERAL COURSE ADMINISTRATOR/INVIGILATOR

We are seeking a part-time IT Systems and General Course Administrator for our Commercial Pilot Training Ground School. Part of the role would be an Invigilator for our internal professional exams. Our classroom-based business provides residential/distance learning theory courses and ATPL licence exams for trainee airline pilots. The School and Exam Centre are co-located at Rosyth Business Centre.

We need you to be skilled, experienced and competent in IT systems and able to commute regularly to Rosyth. In particular, we are developing content for a new bespoke Learning Management System, use Microsoft 365 and its various applications extensively and post regularly on social media.

Hours are mainly flexible, but vary and peak around the exam duties every 2 months where attendance is needed. Some of the duties can be partly done from home. The candidate cannot be a commercial pilot and we are looking for a person able to commit to this part-time role in the long term.

Well above average IT skills are essential to support our team of Instructors and generate regular content for our social media. Some knowledge of the aviation industry or other highly regulated environment is desirable, but not essential. We will also favour a person with the ability to meticulously manage our student training files – both electronic and hard copy that are audited by our regulators.

Many congratulations to our 4 recent ATPL students that were presented with their G/S Completion Certs publicly at the ACS Careers seminar at Glasgow Airport this weekend. They all passed the demanding ATPL exams with good marks and also achieved very good soft skills assessment scores. A great start to get to the first major milestone on the long & winding road to becoming a commercial pilot. Next up: flight training for CPL and MEIR and we wish them the very best of luck for their aviation careers.

Congratulations to ACS for another excellent Pilot Careers event at the Holiday Inn, Glasgow Airport yesterday. It was also great to catch up with many of our past students who are now in good airline jobs with many well known airlines such as Jet2, Loganair, Emerald, easyJet, TUI, Wizzair and even BA.

This recruitment is a long overdue triumph for the now well respected and cost effective Modular route to an airline career. Pictured are Sam and Robbie, now line pilots flying ATRs with Emerald, giving their pitch for their new employer at the seminar. Also, Dean and Matt, 2 of our recent students, answering questions from the floor in the Q&A session. Note Dean's comments on starting pilot training after another career which is a question often asked.
