The Supine Twist is a simple, powerful way to gently mobilise your spine and releases tension through the lumbar spine, hips, and surrounding fascia — helping improve mobility, reduce stiffness, and support a healthier, more resilient back 💪

How to do it:
1. Lie on your back with your knees bent.
2. Drop your knees to one side while keeping your shoulders on the floor.
3. Stretch your opposite arm out and breathe deeply.

Joey was one of our early participants for our Parkinson’s study. He relates his symptoms to the feeling of being “stuck in a straitjacket” caused by restricted movement. He had regular BackHug sessions as part of the study to see how BackHug's focus on spinal mobilisation and de-stiffening the joints in the spine would affect his symptoms.

He acknowledges that BackHug is not a cure, but after his sessions, he reported less tension, stiffness and increased mobility. "It's a welcome relief for someone with my condition" 💙
