⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ While the plasterers are busy on our current attic conversion, we like to give them the space they need to work efficiently. With three floors to plaster, it makes sense for us to step away and tackle other projects in the meantime.
This week, we’re undertaking a 40m² flat roof renovation. The existing roof has been stripped back to the joists before being rebuilt with new 18mm plywood decking, 150mm insulation, and finished with a Fatra single ply membrane system. The project will also include the installation of a new 1200mm x 900mm Velux curved rooflight, bringing plenty of natural light into the living space below.
As with most projects in Scotland, the weather doesn’t always cooperate. We still have one final section of membrane to install before framing the underside and constructing the sun tunnel. As you can see, the team has pulled together, adapted to the conditions, and found a way to keep the project moving forward safely and efficiently.
This is actually a returning client of ours, which always means a lot. We previously completed the dormer conversion on this property, along with all of the cedar cladding you can see on both the extension and dormer. As it happens, we have also recently been appointed to complete two new bathrooms for the client’s sister in the coming weeks.
It’s always rewarding when previous clients come back to us for further works and recommend us to family and friends. Building strong relationships, earning trust, and delivering a quality service is what our business has been built on, so being invited back to carry out additional projects is something we’re very proud of.
A safe, dry working area, good teamwork, and a few laughs along the way always help! 😄
PS, before anyone asks, this is only a temporary solution for 30 minutes to allow us to work inside and build the sun tunnel 😂😂
