• What he loves about his role: He enjoys having the freedom to crack on and working alongside a brilliant team.
• His military background: Drawing on his past experience, he notes that people might not realise just how demanding and high pressure goods in operations can be, it takes a lot of graft!
• Learning and growing: He's recently earned his official operator licence and learned how to drive our brand-new telehandler.
• Unwinding: When he is not working, Craig loves spending quality time with his family, gym, going on holiday, and hopes to try scuba diving one day!

Our HPC Project Manager, Adam, was on site at Hinkley Point C showcasing our industry-leading solutions for safer, cleaner working environments. A certification badge is not a shortcut for a risk assessment.

DSEAR requires employers to identify dangerous substances, assess the risk, put controls in place and classify areas where explosive atmospheres may occur. The equipment then has to suit the zone, substance and task.

That means looking at the whole set-up, including ventilation, lighting, power, heating, ducting, connections and how the equipment will actually be used.

If the zone is critical, the specification should be just as precise.
