Timing belts are very important remember to check to see if yours does indeed need done. This one had a bad oil leak at the back of the timing casing unfortunately the timing belt was soaked in engine oil. Lucky to have caught it early enough to save the engine.

Just another reminder about buying cars.

The price is high or low.
The car is good and has an MOT and just had a service.
You bought from marketplace eBay Arnold Clark or the dealer.
The guy said it’s a good runner.

IT DOESN’T MATTER BEFORE YOU BUY IT GET IT CHECKED.

EVERYONE is scamming just now. Times are hard. Everyone just wants a wee good runner. They are very rare at the moment. If you buy a car get it checked before you buy. I promise you it will cause the mechanic and yourself to be out of pocket well if your genuine enough.

People sell an end of life car when it’s no longer cost effective for them you think your getting a good deal. You will probably be smiling.

PLEASE GET IT CHECKED OVER.

If they don’t want you to get it checked something is up. If they allow you to get it checked it’s likely still knackered.

I have customers who are paying fortunes for cars and they are getting cars on life support and they are annoyed and disappointed.

Please just get them checked by someone you trust give it a good run and make sure it’s dry underside. No leaks etc.

It’s getting really bad.

Oil change anyone. ? Next week is full but can take bookings weeks in advance if your on the ball. For anything not just oil changes.
