Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week

Macey, technical apprentice - I started working on ICEPS in Leeds and I’ve recently moved on to FoSS in Sheffield for the duration of the project.

My typical day includes completing surveys, checking rebar and completed works, plus subcontractor setting out. To assist me with this task I use a total station and a dumpy level.

My next steps will be to complete my HNC & HND in civil engineering, before moving onto a master’s degree and becoming a chartered civil engineer. Go Construct

Work on "One Causeway" continues at a pace. The cladding is almost complete, internally the 1st fix, dry lining, electrical and mechanical are done. This leaves just 2nd fixing and decorating to go. Externally one tower crane will be dismantled before Christmas, the other will go in January. This allows to start the landscaping. Completion is still Spring 2021.
