🎨 PAINTER & DECORATOR – Job Opportunity 🎨

Tulloch of Cummingston, an award-winning house builder based in Moray, is looking for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in high-quality finishing, has a good eye for detail, and can work efficiently across new-build housing projects. The right person will be reliable, tidy, and able to work well as part of a wider site team, while also helping to support and mentor apprentices as they develop their trade.

The Role:
🔹 Carry out internal and external painting and decorating on new-build homes
🔹 Prepare surfaces to a high standard, including filling, sanding, caulking, priming and finishing
🔹 Apply paints, stains and finishes neatly and consistently
🔹 Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
🔹 Support and mentor apprentices developing their skills in the trade
🔹 Work closely with site management and other trades to help keep projects running smoothly
🔹 Support a clean, safe and organised working environment
🔹 A full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential

Job Opportunity: Groundworker Trainee🪏🚜

Tulloch of Cummingston are offering a Groundworker Trainee/Apprenticeship position, with the majority of work taking place on new-build housing developments. The successful candidate will be trained directly on-site through hands-on experience, and we are currently looking into the most appropriate apprenticeship qualification suitable for this role.

This apprenticeship will provide experience across all aspects of groundworks, allowing the candidate to develop a wide range of practical skills and discover their strengths within the trade. As experience progresses, opportunities may also arise to gain machinery and plant operation tickets.

We were delighted to contribute to the Spring 2026 edition of Scottish Planner, published by the Royal Town Planning Institute.

The article discusses the role small and medium-sized housebuilders play in delivering rural housing, particularly here in Moray where developments are often smaller scale and closely connected to local communities.

It was great to have the opportunity to highlight the importance of rural housing delivery and the role local builders can play in supporting communities across the north of Scotland.
