Graduate artist, based in Yorkshire, my art reflects the world around me, addressing pressing

social issues and challenging the status quo. This early exposure ignited my lifelong passion for creative expression. As a multimedia artist, I explore a wide range of mediums, including painting, illustration, sculpture, textiles, and wall mural work. With a First-Class Honours Degree in Contemporary Art, I've had the opportunity to exhibit my work in galleries across the region, including Crossley Gallery Dean Clough, Smith Art Gallery, Brighouse, North Light Gallery Hebden Bridge, and Everybody Arts Gallery Halifax. My work has been recognized with prestigious awards, such as the Public Choice Award at the Calderdale Open exhibition 2024 and my sculptural work has recently been listed as a Finalist for the Visual Art Open New and Emerging Artist award in London. These accolades validate my commitment to creating impactful and thought-provoking pieces. Facilitator
Beyond my studio practice, I am enthusiastic about using art as a tool for personal well-being. I work as a facilitator, delivering art for well-being sessions in various settings, including the NHS, women's centres, colleges, and community drop-in sessions. My belief in the transformative power of art has led me to work for organizations like Hebden Bridge Arts, assisting in the management and delivery of a busy programme of summer events. Projects I have facilitated in the past with community groups have been selected for local art exhibitions, at Crossley Gallery, Dean Clough and as part of Hebden Bridge Arts and the work has been printed in art publications. Which all created powerful opportunities for the makers to see their work viewed by the public.

Had a great day on Saturday creating a tapestry on railings outside the local gym as part of trail.

We had people joinging in who were following the trail and also passers by, plaster on his way to work, peeps doing a pokemon game, couples on way back from their weekly shop! I asked everyone to write something on a thread about their experiences on living/working/visiting Marsh, so it became a living tapestry of community life.

Really fun experience ably assisted by wonderful Maggie.

Thanks to everyone that stopped by, to take part and chat with us or a quick weave stop on route! You made the day so memorable for us!

The weave will be up for the next two weeks of the art trail ending on 21st June!

Part of my cardboard kitchen is on show in Co-op Marsh, Huddersfield for the next 2 weeks as part of trail.

A few pieces from a much larger piece of work, I created this after delivering a series of art classes at in Halifax in 2024. A lot of the women that attended spoke about how difficult it was to make ends meet in the current economy, how most of their bills were generated from the kitchen (food and utility costs). This work has been on show in a few galleries and has had a home at amazing , but fab to see it have a short holiday at a new location and as part of the trail!

Made entirely out of cardboard speaking of the fragility of our economy and constant pressures family life is put under. Built to look like an 80s kitchen, which was the start of the cost of living crisis we are living through sadly now. Made from discarded cardboard sourced from a local bakery business.

Theres lots of artists with work on show up and down Marsh, Huddersfield. So if you have free time over the next two weeks treat yourself to a wander through Marsh visiting all the independent shops on the highstreet along the way!
