🚧 DEEP RENOVATION PROJECT — 2 WEEKS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE! 🚧

What a productive week! 👏

This project is really starting to take shape, and we’re currently around 2 weeks ahead of schedule — with an extremely busy week ahead as we keep pushing forward.

⚡ More electrical & plumbing works
🔨 Carpentry and structural works
🪚 Creating 3 new large Velux openings to flood the space with natural light
🧱 Studwork walls forming the new bathroom
🏠 Brickwork creating a solid perimeter
🌡️ Insulation works getting underway

All of this is bringing us closer to the next inspection sign-off with the team at ECDC.

We’ve got to give a special mention to the inspection team — their knowledge, guidance and support throughout a project like this is invaluable, and they’re a real asset to getting things done properly. Highly recommended. 👌

There’s still plenty to do, but seeing the transformation happen week by week is exactly why we love what we do.

Transformation in Progress 🔨🔥

What a week on this one!

We started the week with the demolition works and have already had a full grab lorry away and the second skip down within the first week. 💪

The structural works have been substantial — three steels installed with all the proper preparation behind them: joists, roof rafters, masonry cutbacks, padstones and all the timber works required to get everything structurally sound and ready for the next stage.

Tomorrow the final steel goes in, and then first fix electrical starts Tuesday. ⚡️

We’ve also built temporary separation walls and created a temporary kitchen, fully accommodated and ready to use while we continue transforming the space — meaning the clients can carry on living here with minimal disruption, right up until the new kitchen is fitted.

Everything is propped, secured and ready to go… and we’re looking forward to getting those Acrow props out this week! 👌

And what a team. They’ve absolutely excelled this week — which, to be fair, is pretty hard to do when the standard is already high! 😂

What was once a perfectly decent but fairly small kitchen is about to become something completely different…

One of the things we love most is showing people just how much potential their existing house actually has. With the right design, structural work and craftsmanship, we can completely transform a space without necessarily needing to move.

🚧 Another Fantastic Project Underway! 🏡🔨

Yet another fantastic project underway — this time nestled in the beautiful countryside surrounding one of our local villages.

We’ve now started the transformation of this property, and there’s a lot happening on this one!

The project includes converting the existing garage into a stunning hand-cut vaulted roof with three roof lights, removing two walls and installing triple steels to create a huge open-plan downstairs space.

We’re also creating a brand-new downstairs bathroom, shower ensuite, study/spare room, triple-window installation, double French doors and an impressive bifold rear window overlooking a brand-new, top-end kitchen.

The whole downstairs will have flush flooring throughout, all at one level, alongside completely new electrics and heating.

🔨 Day One Progress

Today we’ve begun carefully propping and acrowing the major external wall, removing the required masonry and preparing the openings for the structural pads and steel installation tomorrow.

Once the external steel is safely supported, we’ll move onto the internal wall and repeat the process for the second steel.

Our electricians have also made the existing electrics safe, carrying out adaptations and rewiring where required. Plumbing has been capped, isolated and altered in key areas whilst maintaining a comfortable living space for our clients throughout the works.

We’re also planning the kitchen installation carefully so that the majority can be prepared in advance, with the final kitchen swap-over completed towards the end of the project. The aim is simple — keep disruption to our clients to an absolute minimum.

There’s plenty of groundwork ahead too, including new drainage and manhole chambers, connecting into the existing drainage run.

👷‍♂️ Great Teamwork

We had a fantastic visit from our local authority Building Control inspectors today. They’re extremely knowledgeable, always helpful and great to work alongside. We really appreciate their support and input throughout our projects.

And a huge well done to our team today. 👏

Skill, care, attention to detail and a great attitude from start to finish. That’s exactly what we want on every project.

🚀 And There’s Plenty More Happening…

Whilst this one gets underway, our other projects are continuing with plastering, second-fix carpentry and finishing works.

We’re also expecting roof timbers to arrive for one of our development projects, have some fantastic meetings lined up this week and are already planning new projects and start dates into next year.

We’ve got a great team, some exciting projects ahead and capacity for new clients to come on board.

Day 6 on this demolition, extension & renovation project 🧱🔨

We’ve hit all the major milestones and ticks from Building Control, so it’s officially full steam ahead! 🚀 This single-storey project is already shaping up to be a real little gem within the village.

What makes it even better? Every trade coming through the project is highly skilled, takes pride in their work, and genuinely enjoys what they do. That makes a massive difference on a project like this.

We’ve also had two very exciting meetings this week 👀 — more on those soon!

And somehow, we’re already well over a week ahead of the normal schedule. The good weather has definitely helped, but make no mistake… the hours, graft and early starts from the guys have played the biggest part. 💪
