Congratulations to our Finance Director Janet Deane, on her election as Vice President of Construction Employers Federation at the Federation’s 81st Annual General Meeting.
The event also marked the launch of CEF’s first ever Annual Conference, held at Riddell Hall Belfast, an exciting milestone for the industry.
The AGM marked the beginning of a new leadership for the CEF, with Gareth Loye assuming the role of President and Janet Deane as Vice President.
Janet’s appointment is a well-deserved recognition of her expertise, commitment and leadership within the industry. It also represents an important step forward in strengthening the representation of women in construction, highlighting the growing influence and impact of female leaders in shaping the sector’s future.
In her new role, Janet looks forward to working closely with CEF members to help drive progress and build a stronger, more resilient construction industry across Northern Ireland.
We are immensely proud to see Janet’s leadership recognised at this level and are confident she will make a valuable contribution to the Federation and the wider industry.

We were delighted to take part in our first Adopt a School Programme in partnership with CITB Northern Ireland.
Deane Public Works teamed up with StAidans Derrylin, where 28 Year 11 pupils gained valuable insight into our company and the wide range of career pathways within the construction industry.
Our Apprentice Engineer Molly delivered an engaging and in-depth presentation inside the impressive CITB mobile training unit, while Junior Site Engineer Harry provided hands-on demonstrations covering site management, equipment, materials and site safety awareness.
It was a fantastic morning, thoroughly enjoyed by both pupils and staff and we are proud to help inspire the next generation of construction professionals.

We were delighted to welcome Krystle Corrigan, Fundraising Event Officer from Fermanagh Centre - Cancer Focus NI to our Head Office to personally thank everyone involved in our Belfast City Marathon Relay team.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of our team and supporters, we were proud to raise an amazing £7,702.50!
Krystle shared the real impact of this fundraising, explaining that our contribution will help fund:
7 full days of support services.
12 family support sessions for people living with cancer.
As a local charity, Cancer Focus Northern Ireland relies on donations for 90% of its funding, and each year must raise over £350,000 in the Fermanagh area alone to keep their Nurse-led Cancer Support Centre running.
We are incredibly proud to support such a vital cause and to help make a difference in our local community. Thank you to everyone who played a part in this fantastic achievement.
