🔧 FULL ENGINE WORK-UP & TRACK DAY PREP 🏁

This customer came to us for a track day health check, but during our inspection we discovered the head gasket had unfortunately blown.

Upon further investigation, we also found visible wear on the con rod bearings. These were not in a condition we would consider suitable for the high stress and demands that a track day puts on an engine. Catching this before the car hit the track could potentially have prevented some much more serious (and expensive!) engine damage. 👀

We’re now carrying out a full engine overhaul, including:

🔩 Head gasket replacement
🛠️ Full service
🔩 New con rod bearings
⚙️ Supercharger service
⛓️ New timing chain
💧 New water pump
🔧 New seals and gaskets throughout the engine

The customer has also asked us to get the rest of the car ready for track use, including upgraded brakes and new wheels. 🏎️💨

A thorough inspection before a track day can make all the difference. 🏁

🔧 This vehicle came in with an issue with the rear hub seal, here is Henley getting the the vehicle ready for it to be replaced. 🛠️

⚠️ Signs your hub seal may need replacing:
• Grease or oil leaking around the hub/wheel
• Unusual grinding or humming noises
• Excessive play or movement in the wheel
• Uneven tyre wear
• A burning smell or unusual heat from the wheel area

A faulty hub seal can lead to further problems with the wheel bearing and hub assembly. Contact our team if you have noticed any of these signs. 📞

🛢️ Spotted a few drops of oil on the driveway? 🚗💧

Oil leaks can be caused by anything from worn seals and gaskets to sump or oil filter issues and the longer you leave it, the greater the risk of running your engine oil low which can then lead to further issues.

⚠️ Signs to look out for:
🔸 Oil spots under your vehicle
🔸 Low oil levels
🔸 Burning oil smell
🔸 Smoke from the engine bay
🔸 Oil warning light coming on

What great news for motor heads!

Arlington Stadium, Eastbourne racing is SAVED!

First of all, we would like to thank the Dugard family for trusting Spedeworth Motorsports to have a full lease on the stadium.

We met the Dugard family today and have come up with an agreement for a lease on the stadium, but the stadium cannot re-open until all of the remedial work required at the venue is completed.

This is obviously going to cost a lot of time and money. We are aware that people have offered to do a GoFundMe page and this would be appreciated.

Once we have the list of work that needs to be done we will be writing a press release to ask any companies which do any type of the work that may need to be done to help us out.

This information is all we can release at this stage but the good news is racing at Arlington Stadium, Eastbourne will return!
