Upon adding a socket this afternoon. Testing out didnβt quite go to planβ¦ reverse polarity on the socket in question led us back to the board. Further investigation showed reverse polarity on ALL circuits. Why is this so dangerous
Reverse polarity is dangerous because it reverses the hot and neutral wires in an electrical outlet, causing devices to remain energized even when turned off. This poses a severe risk of electric shock, as, for example, the metal shell of a light socket becomes live, and can also lead to electrical fires, damaged sensitive electronics, and failed safety features.
This had clearly had its components changed and no testing done in the house or this would have been picked up.
