Thank you to Ruth for highlighting these projects. Scaffolding to both is being provided by Apex, who are based less than a mile from these sites.

Well isn't this exciting, even if we are up against some titan's in the SW Construction Industry! Best of luck to our fellow finalists Armada Property UK MW Benney Ltd NooKo and progressive and thanks to for stumping up the sponsorship! Looking through all the finalists in all the categories, it will be one hell of a party! NOTWORKING NETWORKING

A slideshow taken between March and September 2006 of the original main stand at Sandy Park showing the original external stairs and Undercroft bar! From the original four steels into a fully formed stand in such a short space of time was quite an achievement!

2026 marks the 20th anniversary of Exeter Chiefs Rugby moving into Sandy Park. Apex have been part of the process since the start, and we never delete a photo! so I will be checking the archive and posting some of my favourites, to show how far the venue has progressed in that time! Starting off with the fabulous Baker Bridge over the A379. Anyone who has walked over it recently will have felt the wobble - well look at it back in 2006! I seem to remember Dean & Dyball having a sign on it saying 'we built a bridge - now get over it'

Can't hide the secret any longer, as the new mural on Exeters Fore Street starts to emerge from behind the scaffolding.

This morning, we came together to celebrate the 75th birthday of Stephen Gardner. Still out on the tools, after 28 years with Apex, he is a shining example to us all, and must be the UKs oldest working scaffolder ( can you confirm)
At Apex, we normally celebrate with Bacon, but with the weather being so warm, even at 7am so pastries for all who were in the yard, and we hope Stevie G enjoys his day off tomorrow.
