This morning, we came together to celebrate the 75th birthday of Stephen Gardner. Still out on the tools, after 28 years with Apex, he is a shining example to us all, and must be the UKs oldest working scaffolder ( can you confirm)
At Apex, we normally celebrate with Bacon, but with the weather being so warm, even at 7am so pastries for all who were in the yard, and we hope Stevie G enjoys his day off tomorrow.

Much like all local media outlets, I love a tenuous link to a major news story.... so here is the link between APEX and the - II Moon Mission! Back in almost black & white times (certainly before we owned a digital camera), we erected a scaffold at Goonhilly Earth Station, on the antenna, now receiving signals from the Orion module as it reaches further than any humans have ever been before!
