And just like that, St Leonards Practice is complete!
A huge thank you to everyone involved — with a special shout-out to Merlin’s Flooring Contractors for getting the extras done in such a short space of time.

Andy and Steve put in massive shifts right at the beginning, which really set the project up for success.

Not our usual “surgery” we always post about but having the chance to work on another practice through recommendation is great, we’ve been busy turning this space into five new consultation rooms plus a patient waiting area. It’s been a while since we last posted, and we’re already close to the finish line on this one.

The team at St Leonard’s Practice can’t wait to welcome their first patients early next year, and we’re excited to see the place come to life.

It’s been a while since our last update — we’ve been keeping busy! A recent project on Topsham Road where the property’s ground floor began as a straightforward knock-through and a minor staircase alteration, escalated once we were asked to install additional electrical sockets to the second floor of the property, the true scope of what was then needed quickly revealed itself.

Upon opening the walls, it became clear that the existing plaster had completely failed and was detaching from the substrates. One masonry wall found to be inadequately supported required fully dismantling then rebuilding.

What started as a simple modification evolved into a comprehensive renovation, but the end result is structurally sound, ready for the clients decorators who have motored on nicely and are due to finish anytime now

Fingers crossed we will be a front runner with the future plans that are on the cards.

Start of our new job in Alphington has come with a few surprises!

This is why you employ builders kids.
I can honestly say I don’t recall ever working on a building where I was genuinely concerned about something falling on me.

No pad stones below the steels, not to mention sat on mortar which has died. Now crumbling from old age and degradation hence the stress cracks

No joist hangers supporting the ceiling collars which has one heavy unvented water cylinder sat on it.
