With extensive experience delivering groundworks projects across the construction sector, Tom brings strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality that aligns perfectly with our values and ambitions.

As we continue to expand our groundworks operations across the South, having the right people in place is key to maintaining the high standards our customers expect. Tom will play a crucial role in overseeing project delivery, supporting our teams on site, and helping drive the next phase of growth for the business.

Installing below-ground infrastructure with a view 🌊

We’re currently working alongside Graf UK to deliver the installation of this attenuation tank.

These systems play a crucial role in sustainable drainage, helping to manage surface water and reduce flood risk — even if they’re rarely seen once the job’s complete.

These aerial shots give a great perspective on the scale of the installation, while the sea view reminds us there are worse places to be working!

Construction has long been seen as a male-dominated industry, but that is steadily changing — and we’re proud to see that change happening within our own business.

At Mata Construction, we are a family-run groundworks company. Our Managing Director, Fred, leads the business with decades of industry experience, while his daughters play key roles in shaping its future.

Connie works alongside him as Director, helping drive the company forward, and Elsie leads our relationships and growth as Business Development Manager.

Another project secured from our valued customer Rigg Construction (Southern) Limited.

Just around the corner from our site in Ludgershall, Andover. We’ve secured the groundworks and associated works for another 17 units.
