Great news!

We are thrilled to announce that the absolute RACHP genius John North has joined the team at Meridian RACHP Training...

John has worked for 20 years as a lecturer, assessor and verifier at Eastleigh and Portsmouth Colleges teaching thousands of students and continues his work as a consultant for City & Guilds.

Alongside teaching short courses in FGAS, Hydrocarbons and brazing, John will also lead the launch of our BESA Essential Electrics & Refrigeration Electrics short courses in early 2026. Keep your eyes peeled for the course dates.

Help the Homeless Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2019

Now that the summer months are behind us, many of our thoughts are starting to turn to Christmas which stirs excitement and joy. However, for many, this can be a very lonely and upsetting time of year, spent without family or a permanent roof over their heads.
Following the phenomenal response to last year’s appeal, the Mayors of Ferndown and Wimborne Minster will be continuing with the Christmas Shoebox Appeal which will be in memory of Cllr Steve Lugg who introduced the appeal 3 years ago and was such a driving force behind it.

The Mayor of Ferndown, Cllr Julie Robinson said “Last year over 500 boxes were donated which is testament to the generosity of our community. The spirit of Christmas is all about giving to others, and the shoebox appeal is a fantastic initiative that gives to those who need our help the most at this time of year. We now have 8 drop off points for donations and therefore greater capacity to accept more parcels to pass on to those in need. I’d like to thank all those businesses who have kindly agreed to be collection points for the packages.”

The Mayor of Wimborne Minster, Cllr Shane Bartlett added, “My late friend, Cllr Steve Lugg was typically passionate about this cause, which I wholeheartedly support. I would like to say a massive thank you to all those that have agreed to be collection points over Wimborne Minster and Ferndown.”

Please label the gift box as ‘Female’, ‘Male’ or ‘Unisex’. If possible, please wrap your shoebox in wrapping paper with the lid wrapped separately. You can also include a Christmas card.
