During precision reaming, the bore is carefully machined to achieve the required internal diameter and finish, ensuring the valve can move smoothly without excessive clearance ⚙️

Too much clearance can contribute to increased oil consumption and wear, while insufficient clearance can restrict valve movement — making accuracy critical.

It may look like a small part of an engine overhaul, but processes like this are fundamental to achieving the precision and reliability expected from an aircraft engine!
