5 years ago… Polycroo was born in Orkney 🌊

What started as a simple idea has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of.

Over the past 5 years, we’ve built polytunnels all across Orkney — each one designed to handle the storm, and create a space that feels completely different inside.

We’ve also supplied self-build kits across the islands, helping more people create their own Polycroo space.

This video captures a small selection of those projects…and the feeling that comes with owning a Polycroo polytunnel.

Because it’s never just about structure.

It’s about what it creates.

Happy New Year from Polycroo 🌱

As we step into 2026, we just want to say a genuine thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Polycroo over the past years — whether that was ordering a kit, trusting us with a full build, recommending us to a friend, or simply following along.

Polycroo was built on a simple principle:
strong, honest polytunnels built for real conditions — without fuss or gimmicks. That hasn’t changed, and it never will.

We’ve included a few examples from some of our 2025 builds below — a small snapshot of the kind of work we quietly get on with throughout the year.

Looking ahead to the growing season
We now have a limited number of build slots remaining for 2026, and this is also an ideal time to place an order for a self-build kit.

Ordering now means:
• time to plan properly
• delivery in good time
• and the chance to have your tunnel built and ready before the growing season begins in March / April.

Most of our work comes through word of mouth, so availability tends to fill quietly rather than suddenly.

If you’re thinking about a polytunnel for this year, now is a good time to get in touch.

We are open from 9am Monday the 5th of January.

Spring to autumn? We’re flat out preparing Polycroo polytunnel kits and building polytunnels — and we love it 🌱💪

Winter? Not so much… we prefer to keep ourselves and the tools nice, warm and dry 😂❄️

So we did what any sensible business would do…
We outsourced to Santa & Rudolph before their chaos officially begins 🎅🦌

Rumour has it they’ve just about got one more kit and delivery left in them before Christmas…
