IR issue completed ✅
Today the customer had an IR issue with his system that intermittently turned off when it was wet. We found the dodgy connectors and changed 3 of them. We lifted all the connectors off the roof tiles, then we remounted the panels and gave them a clean. After retesting the system the issue has cleared and the customer was very happy with the work completed.

Pigeon issue sorted ✅ todays customer had no generation coming from the panels and it didn’t take long to see why, the cable had been ripped out of the connector. We replaced the failed connectors and then removed the pigeon nest. We then pigeon proofed the panels and turned the inverter back on which was thankfully generating again. Customer very happy with the work carried out. If you have this issue or a similar one with no generation or faults showing on your inverter then please get in touch. We like be happy to help.

Another pesky pigeon job complete. This customer had an intermittent RISO issue due to the connectors being caught and buried under pigeon nests causing the system to stop working from time to time. We lifted all the panels and replaced a lot of the dodgy connectors and lifted the connectors off the roof surface so this problem wouldn’t happen again then we applied pigeon proofing to the outside of the array. Very happy with how this job went today and if you have similar issues please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

This is the damage Pigeons can cause to your Solar PV system. 2 of the connectors under the panels failed causing no generation. We changed the connectors and added pigeon proofing to this system.
If you notice birds around your panels the chances are they are nesting under them. Please get in contact with me and I can help future proof your system.

Came across this problem today at a customers house. Pigeons nesting under the panels had damaged the cable and caused a IR issue which in turn causes a generation issue. I changed the cable, removed the nest and added pigeon protection so it can’t happen again.
