This project involved the construction of a large single-storey rear extension designed to create a spacious, open-plan living area while enhancing the overall functionality of the home. Built using matching red brickwork to complement the existing property, the extension blends seamlessly with the original structure through the use of slimline black aluminium glazing and wide-span bifold doors.
The extension significantly increases the ground floor living space, providing a bright and open environment with strong connections to the garden through large glazed openings and roof glazing that maximises natural light throughout the day. The flat roof design gives the rear elevation a clean architectural appearance while maintaining practical internal ceiling heights.
As part of the project, a new utility room was also incorporated to improve the day-to-day functionality of the property. The utility space provides dedicated areas for laundry, storage, and household appliances, helping to keep the main living spaces uncluttered and organised. Careful consideration was given to layout, practicality, and access to ensure the space works efficiently for modern family living.
The overall result is a substantial transformation of the property, combining additional living accommodation with practical utility space and an aesthetic that complements the existing home.
