This week we're highlighting a Meggitt High Speed Shut-Off Valve (HSSOC) which has just undergone overhaul at the energyX workshop.
Designed as a critical safety component within an industrial gas turbine fuel system, the HSSOC is responsible for rapidly stopping fuel flow when required, helping to protect both the turbine and its operators.
During overhaul, every valve undergoes a thorough inspection and refurbishment process, including complete disassembly, precision cleaning, detailed dimensional inspection, replacement of worn components where necessary, reassembly, and comprehensive functional testing to verify performance before it returns to service.
