Another excellent job completed by the team 😃

A set of four aluminium heatsinks for use in the Aerospace industry.

Machined from solid 6082-T6, we consulted with the customer to help them design the part in a way that was conducive to machining, helping them reduce cost.

They've come out very nicely, certainly a credit to our fine machinists. 👏

These ones filled up the swarf bins rather quickly! 😅

316 stainless cups machined from solid billets, looking very nice after inspection, ready for packing and delivery to our customer.

Always happy to help when we can! Especially when a local business is in need! We’ve got to stick together 💪🏻

Well where to begin!? The last nine days have been absolute hell for all 3 of us and we cannot even contemplate what it means to you guys! We know alot of people use our store as a safe place, a place to socialise, a place to forget about worries you maybe having in the world. We have put hours and hours into trying to get the store sorted! (Mainly hoovering everyday to make sure there is no glass to harm anybody or animals)

With all this being said!
We want to thank a few companies and people!

Andy Hurley THE BEST LANDLORD EVER! Was first on scene and got everything secure and safe till we could start the repairs.

And so it leads to the final piece of news for today......

WE ARE BACK OPEN THURSDAY 20TH AUGUST AT 10AM-6PM.

We have everything ready and available for all you beautiful people. We shall be trading and buying as per usual! The only thing we are short of is one card wall. 🙈

When we see you all again, make sure you bring the positives, the bad stuff is out the way and in the past and we want to leave it there, we are forgetting and just pushing forward so please no digging.

Here is a pallet of adjustable supports shipped out a couple of weeks ago, featuring a trapezoidal threaded bar, locking nut and wobbly support pad. To produce these we:

-Liaised with the customer to understand their requirements
-Produced our own design featuring a ball joint assembly under the support pad
-Manufactured all components and assembled in house ready to be fitted by the customer ✅

A neat assembly and a satisfying batch of components to deliver 🥳

Good to see these large articulated trolley fabrications making their way to site 😃

These trolleys came in at 6.3m long, 2.2m wide, and feature articulated rotating axle assemblies, rolling along on free-running rubber wheels.

As always, we now move onto the next project!

A batch of freshly powder coated fabrications back and ready to assemble!

These will form part of two articulated trollies, which will go on to be used in the Automotive sector.

Sometimes simple parts can be very satisfying 👏

Pins, bosses, shafts, wheels, rollers, these are the kinds of parts that keep engineering and manufacturing moving!

Whether they're made on an old Colchester lathe, or a brand spanking Doosan 2100 LSY, plenty of businesses across the land need simple parts to get the job done.

We were really tested on this one...

Our customer had a very limited window to get these assemblies to site, only one week!

Luckily we have a very helpful supply chain, a highly competent and motivated workforce and so come the following week, we managed to achieve their target delivery date, including the delivery of several other machined and welded assemblies not shown in these pictures.

It certainly wasn't easy, but sometimes it's nice to look at a difficult lead time after delivery, and know that you've helped your customer to stay on track with their delivery schedule. 👏 😅

Lots of fabricated assemblies making their way through the workshop this past week!

-Display frames
-500x Countersunk and folded brackets
-Welded end plates with axles machined in-house
-Lifting adaptors with machined bosses made on our Puma 2000SY

All off to powder coating, zinc plating, or directly to our customers 😃
