Another milestone completed 👏

We’ve recently completed the installation of the base course on the new set-out road at the housing development project we’ve proudly been involved with since the very beginning.

Using our own in-house paving machine and experienced surfacing team, we successfully laid approximately 52 tonnes of base material to keep the project progressing smoothly and efficiently 🚧

We’ll be returning at a later date to complete the final surfacing works and finish the road construction to the highest standard.

Teams are making great progress on the Murton Village site on behalf of our valued client, Signal Construction.

We first started this project last year, carrying out the demolition of a large dwelling to make way for this new housing development. Since returning, our crews have been busy installing block paving on the first two drives, setting out kerbing, and stoning up surrounding areas.

From site clearance and foundations to utilities, haul roads, and front- and back-end works — we’ve got every stage covered.

We brought all our teams in this morning for a full stand-down to make sure everyone is safe, compliant, and ready to hit the ground running.

During the Christmas shutdown, I’ll be making the most of the quieter period to carry out our annual face fit testing for the team at JTL MR DIG Groundworks Ltd.

Across the weekend, I’ll be bringing the workforce in on 30-minute intervals, ensuring everyone is face fit tested efficiently and without disrupting site operations.

Thanks to the PureFlo respirators we issue, both clean-shaven staff and those with facial hair can be safely and compliantly tested – a great solution for our bearded workforce.

I completed my face fit tester accreditation a few years ago with XYZ Training and use the JSP Qualitative Face Fit Test Kit – a really handy bit of equipment and a worthwhile accreditation to have.

Planning ahead, staying compliant, and keeping our team safe.

An early start for the team today,on the road to Birmingham at 4am to meet with a valued client for a 9am project visit. The purpose was to carry out a detailed pre-site inspection and accurately quantify the requirements for their upcoming large-scale resurfacing works. A productive morning ensuring we can provide the most precise and reliable quotation possible.
