🚨 Emergency Lead Roof Repair 🚨

We attended a property with a lead roof after a section of lead became detached and was blown into the middle of the road during strong winds.

The lead work appeared relatively new, however it may not have been fitted securely. Due to the access requirements, scaffolding was needed to carry out the repair safely.

Our team replaced the damaged section of lead work and ensured the roof was made safe and secure.

A recent small repair job completed in Cramlington for an extended family member 🏠

Following storm-related movement to sections of the roofline, our team attended to carry out localised repairs to help restore the roof’s weather protection and prevent further issues developing.

The works included carefully refitting and securing dislodged dry verge units to the right-hand verge, along with replacing damaged Marley Modern Grey roof tiles using matching materials to maintain the existing appearance of the roof.

While these types of repairs may seem minor at first glance, leaving loose verge units or cracked tiles unattended can quickly lead to water ingress, further movement during high winds, and additional damage to surrounding areas.

Another visit completed for one of our long-standing customers 🌿🏠

This customer has supported us right from the very beginning of our journey, which always makes returning to carry out maintenance work that little bit more special.

Due to the property being surrounded by a large number of mature trees, the guttering system naturally fills with leaves and debris much quicker than most homes. To help stay on top of things, we’ve created a simple ongoing arrangement where the customer books in as and when required, allowing us to keep the system flowing correctly throughout the year.

A nice straightforward setup that works well for everyone and helps prevent avoidable overflow, damp issues, and unnecessary repairs further down the line.

Regular gutter maintenance really does make a difference — especially for properties in heavily wooded areas 🍂

Another completed job for a repeat customer in Lobley Hill ✅

Following a recent roof survey, our team identified deterioration to the ridge line where the existing cement had started to fail. After providing a detailed report and quotation, we were instructed to return and carry out the recommended repairs.

The team completed localised ridge repointing works to help improve the roof’s weather resistance and prevent further deterioration moving forward.

It’s always appreciated when customers come back to us again for further works — especially when trust has already been built through previous jobs. A nice little repair project completed and another happy customer 👍

Meet the brothers behind Dennison Roofing Services 💙

Before Dennison Roofing Services ever existed, Kevin spent years working for a national roofing company delivering large commercial roofing projects, building the knowledge, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that still drives the standard of our work today.

Lee’s background was completely different, spending years working within customer service and management roles, developing a real passion for customer care and the journey clients experience from first contact through to completed works.

One Christmas, while sitting talking about work and life, both brothers admitted the same thing… they were tired of building somebody else’s dream instead of their own.

Then Kev simply said:
“Let’s do it together.”

Kev sold his car, they bought a little run-around van that barely lasted six months, and Dennison Roofing Services was born.

Fast forward just two years, and the company was honoured to win Checkatrade Roofer of the Year 2025 (North Region), alongside building a reputation backed by 5-star reviews across Facebook, Google, and Checkatrade.

Combining Kevin’s drive for perfection on-site with Lee’s focus on customer care has created something they are both incredibly proud of.

It hasn’t always been easy, and like most brothers they still argue like cat and dog at times 😄 but one thing has never changed — the pride they both have in the business, the team around them, and the service delivered to every customer.

Meet Scott 👏

As a family-run business, having family involved in the growth of Dennison Roofing Services means a great deal to us — and Scott has become a huge part of that journey over the last 12 months.

Scott is Lee and Kevin’s cousin and joined the team bringing with him a strong background working across several skilled trades, including window installation, structural steel fabrication, and architectural metalworking. He also holds a Skilled Worker CSCS card and has quickly become an important part of the day-to-day running and continued growth of the business.

One thing that has really stood out since Scott joined the company is his keen eye during roof surveys and inspections. He takes the time to properly investigate issues, understand the condition of a roof, and ensure problems are identified thoroughly rather than rushed — something that is incredibly important within the roofing industry.

Scott is also currently working towards passing his driving test so that he can take on his own company van and continue progressing within the team.

His ambition doesn’t stop there either, with future qualifications already planned including solar tile installation training and obtaining his drone operator licence to further support our survey and inspection services.

For us, Dennison Roofing Services has always been about more than just roofing — it’s about building a hardworking team around trust, loyalty, and family values, and we’re incredibly proud to have Scott as part of that journey.
