🏏 Work is underway at South Hetton Cricket Club!

Our team is on-site installing a new solar PV and battery storage system to help the club generate its own electricity and reduce its energy bills.

Here's what's going in:
⚡ 31 solar panels – 15.8kW system
⚡ 23kWh battery storage
⚡ 25kW hybrid inverter

Once complete, the club will be able to make better use of renewable energy and take greater control of its running costs.

Keep an eye out for the finished installation, where we'll be sharing the projected energy generation and return on investment!

It’s always good to hear how an installation went from the customer’s side. Here’s what one homeowner shared after having solar panels fitted by Thrift Energy:

“From start to finish, Thrift Energy were excellent. The solar panel installers explained what they were doing, how the panels were being fitted, and answered any questions I had. They were polite, professional and worked to a high standard. The electricians were also excellent, respectful of my home and left everything clean and tidy, taking all rubbish away. Paul, the site manager, was also very professional and reassuring. The whole team are a credit to Thrift Energy. I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for solar installation.”
Thank you for the review - and well done to the team! 👏

Energy prices are on the move again 📈
From today, the energy price cap has risen by 4%, taking the typical annual household bill to £1,723.
After a year of changing prices, it’s another reminder of how little control we have over what we pay for energy.
But what you can control is how much electricity you need to buy from the grid.
With solar PV and battery storage, you can generate, store and use more of your own electricity at home – helping you rely less on the grid.
With winter just around the corner, now could be a good time to see what solar could do for your home.

Same solar power, a seriously sleek finish🏡

Unlike traditional on-roof systems, in-roof solar panels are integrated into the roof itself, sitting flush with the surrounding roofline for a clean, streamlined finish.

So, if how solar looks on your home is just as important as how it performs, in-roof could be an option worth exploring.

Your solar panels can be busy generating electricity during the day – but your home might not need all of it at the time☀️

That’s where battery storage comes in. Available excess electricity can be stored in your battery and used later, including during the evening when your panels aren’t generating.

It’s a simple way to make more use of the solar electricity you generate at home.
