🏗️ RWE came to Rubb & Renthall UK for crane-liftable buildings to cover a four-month outage at their Great Yarmouth site.

We specified each structure with integrated lifting points, allowing them to be connected directly to crane operations and lifted into and out of position.

“Our four-month major outage involved storage and overhaul of large turbine components of up to 80 tonnes outdoors, which needed to be lifted by mobile crane and rotated at various stages of work,” says Ross Salmon, Rotating Equipment Engineer at RWE.

“The liftable Rubb buildings gave a significant advantage by reducing delays, as the process of unbolting and lifting was very quick.”

Rubb Norway's long-time customer, North West Terminal, recently needed two of their five Rubb structures extended by a combined total of 90m.

🔧 I'm Harry, Service & Maintenance Manager at Rubb UK.

If we've spoken before, there's a good chance it was about a building that's been standing for decades.

Next year is Rubb’s 50th in business (and my 10th at Rubb for that matter).

Thousands of buildings across the UK, still doing the job they were designed for. Year after year.

It’s not by accident. They’re designed to last.

Hot-dip galvanised steel frames. Quality materials. Engineered to British standards. Built to handle the most demanding environments worldwide.

But good design is only half of it.

My job starts long after a building has been handed over. When a customer calls with a repair, a refurbishment, or maintenance, we're there to extend the life of their investment well past expectations.

We have structures from the ‘70s still playing a crucial role in day-to-day operations. By the time we’re called in, their Rubb buildings have probably been on site longer than most of their staff.

50 years on, still doing their job. Bit like me.

🚢 RFA Lyme Bay supporting mine countermeasures

RFA Lyme Bay has been deployed to the Middle East as part of a multinational task group, supporting efforts to maintain a safe passage for commercial shipping.

The vessel has benefitted from a ship-mounted Rubb structure since 2015, providing protected space for operations and storage.
