Good News for UKSOL and the UK Solar Industry

The UKSOL sales team was delighted to close an order for the replacement of 1.6MW of faulty 260w polycrystalline solar modules on behalf of a company responsible for maintaining solar farms across the UK.

This marks the third similar replacement order we have secured this quarter, highlighting a growing trend within the industry as older polycrystalline installations begin to experience performance and reliability issues after years of operation.

The solar replacement and repowering market is becoming an increasingly important sector for UKSOL. By supplying modern, high-efficiency replacement modules backed by our long-term British warranty and UK-based support, we are helping asset owners maximise generation, reduce downtime and extend the life of their solar assets.

With many of the UK’s early large-scale solar farms now reaching 10–15 years of age, we expect demand for module replacement and repowering solutions to continue growing significantly over the coming years.

A big thank you to our customers for continuing to place their trust in UKSOL.

Ofgem has just announced a 13% increase of the energy price cap, meaning the cost of energy could rise for households all over the UK. By using self-install, plug-in solar panels, households can save up to £110 per year, helping to reduce the effect this rise in energy prices could have on them.

There is more to a solar panel than how much power it produces.

At Solar & Storage Live, Andrew Moore, Founder and CEO of UKSOL, spoke about something that really matters in our industry: ethics, traceability and knowing who stands behind the products being installed on homes and businesses.

UKSOL is the panel partner we trust at WRB, and there is good reason for that. They are a British solar brand, established in 2015, with UK-based support and a 30-year British warranty behind their panels. That accountability matters.

In his talk, Andrew spoke openly about the realities of global solar manufacturing, the importance of responsible sourcing, and the checks UKSOL puts in place around ethical production, auditing, supply chain transparency and recycling.

For us, that fits with how we believe solar should be done. It is not just about putting panels on a roof and moving on. It is about the quality of the product, the people behind it, the support that follows, and the confidence customers have years down the line.

That is why WRB works closely with UKSOL. Their values around responsible solar, British-backed warranty support and long-term performance sit well with our own approach to properly designed, properly installed renewable systems.

When you choose WRB, you are choosing more than an installation team. You are choosing trusted products, careful design, and a supply chain we are proud to stand behind.
