🚪 𝗦𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 – 𝗖𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗿, 𝗙𝗶𝗳𝗲 🛑 Keeping unwanted visitors out isn’t always about security — sometimes it’s about 𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁, 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗶𝘀 and even 𝗽𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗼𝗻𝘀.

This sliding strip curtain was installed for Nexam St Andrews Ltd in Cupar, helping protect the working area while still allowing easy access in and out of the building.

The steel channel was designed to project over the large sliding wooden door, allowing both the wooden door and strip curtain to be used independently depending on what the site needs at the time.

A simple, practical upgrade that helps improve cleanliness, control access and make the workspace more usable day to day.

🔐 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗵𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗼 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 ⚡This project involved upgrading an old manual roller shutter in Clydebank to electric operation, while also improving security and safety for the property owner.

The shutter had two damaged slats at the bottom, which we replaced before carrying out the electrical upgrade. We then converted the shutter to 𝗸𝗲𝘆-𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and installed a 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 for added security.

To prevent the shutter being operated while still locked, the system was designed so the lock must be removed and placed inside the isolator box before the shutter can be used. If the lock isn’t in place, the shutter won’t operate.

A smart upgrade that improves day-to-day convenience, security and safe operation.

🚪 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗨𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 – 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗴𝗼𝘄. Not every door upgrade is just about security — sometimes it’s about making the space work better day to day too.

We returned to the Metropole Building in Glasgow city centre to replace the old timber bin store doors with a new pair of equal steel doors, finished in anthracite grey.

📸 𝗟𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 – 𝗗𝘂𝗺𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 📈 A bigger opening can make a huge difference to how a busy site operates — and that was the focus of this project for Broatch Construction at their new premises in Dumfries.

The main part of the job involved installing a larger 3-phase sectional door to improve access into the building. As construction contractors, Broatch removed the original door, increased the size of the opening and installed the new steel frame to our specification before we fitted the new door.

You can see the increase in width in the first few photos, with the new sectional door now extending well beyond the original bollard positions.

We also installed a second 3-phase sectional door for a newly-created internal room, giving the space a practical and secure access solution. Both doors are operated using wall-mounted controls for simple day-to-day use.

A great example of working alongside another contractor to deliver the right result for the site.

🔧 𝗟𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵 ↕️ These photos show a recent roller shutter installation carried out for Bonnymans in Beith.

Our client wanted to create a larger opening, so a new steel frame was installed in preparation for a bigger electric shutter. We removed the old shutter and fitted the new taller and wider roller shutter into the frame.

Their contractor will now complete the next stage by removing the remaining sections of wall to open up the full entrance.

While we usually handle every stage of an installation ourselves, we’re equally happy to work alongside other contractors when projects require a joined-up approach 👍

⚓ 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲-𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗵𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 – 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗸. Almost a year to the day, we returned to Peel Ports in Greenock to replace a malfunctioning sectional door with a new 6m x 6.3m insulated electric roller shutter.

The old sectional door was jammed up, which meant no before photos and a tricky removal job for the team before the new shutter could be installed.

The new shutter was built to a marine-grade specification, including a Poppy Red, foam-filled insulated curtain with Plastisol coating, marine-grade powder coating of all guides & steel work, and a wall-mounted digital control panel. Thanks to our friends at RCS Doors Ltd for the new shutter & GFA for the motor & control panel.

🛡️ These electric window shutters have recently been installed for JM Flooring in East Kilbride. One internal switch operates all of the shutters at the same time, so raising & lowering them is really fast & simple. 🚪 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 – 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 ⚙️ This recent project involved installing a manual, spring-loaded aluminium shutter to secure the reception area within student accommodation in Stirling.

Finished in anthracite grey, the shutter provides a smart, practical security solution while fitting neatly into the existing reception space.
