Apsis Group is delighted to share the news that our St Andrew’s Church redevelopment in Hamilton has won the Best Individual New Build or Small Development at last night’s prestigious Herald Property for Scotland Award.

Our St Andrew’s Church redevelopment re-imagines the original fabric of the Grade B Listed Church and the surrounding grounds into 21 properties comprising of 6 individual, architecturally designed, stylish townhouses and apartments; along with the design and delivery of 15 high quality new build social homes on behalf of West of Scotland Housing Association.

Apsis would like to extend our sincerest thanks for their hard work to all members of our design and construction team, who worked tirelessly to successfully deliver this project; and to the judging panel for selecting our development as the Winner within such a prestigious award category.

The Apsis Group is delighted to share the news that our St Andrew’s Church redevelopment in Hamilton has been shortlisted for a prestigious Herald Property for Scotland Award.

One of the most well-respected and coveted awards ceremonies on the Scottish property calendar, The Herald Property Awards for Scotland 2024 will “honour the achievements of Scotland’s most innovative and successful home and commercial builders, developers, agents, interior designers and registered social landlords”.

Our St Andrew’s Church redevelopment, shortlisted in the “Individual New Build & Small Development” category, re-imagines the original fabric of the Grade B Listed Church into six individually architecturally designed, stylish apartments, perfect for 21st century living. All properties within the Church have been designed to enhance the original design features and craftmanship to deliver Historic Scotland’s aspirational vision for the regeneration of the dormant Church, including bespoke living accommodation with four units within the original Church and two within the original Church Hall Annex.

Wow, this brings back memories. Our Managing Director was project manager in full control of the design, construction and interior fit out of this stunning property back in 2008 and it still looks great today. Alex Reid, although we’ve done some amazing design winning projects over the years, but this must be one of your best.

Working in partnership with West of Scotland Housing Association and Police Scotland, throughout the development at 2 Haddow Street, Hamilton; Apsis are delighted to have achieved Gold Award standard for Secured by Design for the design and construction of the properties. Chief Inspector Graeme McLaughlin, Area Commander was on site to present the Gold Award to Apsis’ Managing Director, Dr Alex Reid and West of Scotland Housing Association’s Senior Development Officer, Jonathan McCarthy. Commenting on receiving the Award, Dr Reid said how proud the Apsis team were to receive the highly coveted Gold Award in recognition of the joint work undertaken with Police Scotland to achieve this status and emphasised the importance of a collaborative approach to the process, to ensure all stakeholders are fully engaged with the goals.
